Job Purpose

Functioning as key liaison with the Operations Department, oversee the analysis and development of actual to standard operating costs, product costing (budget & actual), trend analysis, labor reporting, product profitability studies, inventory analysis and inventory control.  Provide delivery or Production Management reporting and analysis/commentary on performance to budget.  Coordinate North American reporting of KPIs.  Support key project related initiatives and supporting analysis to include ROI.  Participate as Finance lead in Operations Committee. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage cost accounting and inventory control team
  • Analyze and reconcile all balance sheet accounts related to inventory and standard cost accounting; provide reporting on a monthly basis within published timelines
  • Lead preparation of all required Global Operations Finance related reports including CPC analysis and production department reports in required format
  • Work with Global Operations team to develop uniform reporting of KPI’s 
  • Deliver required reporting/analysis and commentary on Manufacturing’s performance to budget.
  • Lead required monthly and quarterly physical inventory counts and reconciliations
  • Work directly with FP&R team to deliver all product costing on a timely basis within the appropriate systems, including ERP and Financial Planning modules
  • Oversee inventory reconciliation for 20+ locations in the United States
  • Updating standard costs as required for all USA related products and locations
  • Manage landed cost rules
  • Prepare actual versus budget reconciliation on all standard costs
  • Facilitate monthly Operations review meeting with UK parent
  • Managing third party transactions and relationships as they relate to the outsourced production facilities
  • Inventory – Deliver required KPI reporting/analysis and recommendations to include, but not limited to inventory turns, carrying costs, and warehousing analysis
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant business experience, specifically managing inventory/costing activities in production/standard cost environment
  • Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting or related filed
  • CMA or CPA preferred
  • Successful track record in developing and managing teams
  • Experience navigating ERP systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Self-starter who takes initiative in project and task oriented assignments
  • Strong communication, organizational and task management skills
  • Orientation to detail and results driven
