We have an exciting new opportunity for a Sourcing Leader with comprehensive professional understanding of procurement principals, to join our Supply Chain team, in our Shanghai office.

Reporting to the Global Category Lead, this role will lead the development and execution of defined procurement strategies for North Asia. It will support the relevant global sourcing initiatives, developed with key stakeholders to source, select, negotiate and develop a best in class supply base for the business across all the relevant sub categories of spend.

We are looking for candidates who are educated to degree level, ideally with a business related qualification. Candidates should have a demonstrable record of successfully defining and implementing leading edge procurement strategies, gained through relevant indirect category experience.

As a vital member of the Team, you will be responsible for a number of key tasks including:

• Lead the management of the supplier performance, measuring and manage performance, developing a collaborative approach to continuous improvement in North Asia
• Develop and deliver the category strategy that delivers procurement and business objectives, ensuring successful implementation by translating them into achievable and actionable plans
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of business objectives and drive essential behavioural and process change
• Work closely with the business to ensure the collation and assessment of category requirements including spend, demand, supplier performance and service requirements in a logical format from the business units
• Track, review and report the category performance and use this information to determine opportunities for further improvement to category strategy and target setting
• Accountable for optimising external spend for the category and delivering cost/value/business benefit.  Deliver budgeted targets (savings, cash flow, cost reduction depending on business focus) to drive improvements in operating margin and deliver the business strategic ambitions
• Assist supplier custodians and contract owners in the resolution of escalated supplier issues and ensure appropriate supplier management and performance metrics have been agreed
• Manage the risk and governance agenda for the relevant supply base
