We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Operations Analyst to join the Group Technology Services (GTS) team at our Bellshill HQ on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Infrastructure Operations Team Leader, this role will support, maintain, upgrade and install IT systems and applications used within the company to both maintain and enhance efficiencies and performance of the company’s operating systems.

We are looking for candidates with experience of global operations delivery, support and data centre technologies (including VM Ware and MS Server systems, CISCO) and a specialist area of technical capability in Cisco networking and security. Experience administering Windows and Linux servers in private or public cloud deployments would also be advantageous.

As a vital member of the team you will be involved a variety of exciting projects from day one which will include:

• Proactively advise, assist and engage on delivery of underlying technical infrastructure to support the delivery of technical projects
• Ensure that all second and third line infrastructure engineering support requests are appropriately prioritized and resolved with within the required service level agreements
• Document the design, operation and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures
• Assist with planning and implementing systems and network integrations in line with systems upgrades and/or any merger and acquisition activity
• Plan and execute system testing necessary for new and upgraded Infrastructure installations prior to release in the live environment to ensure continuity of service.
• Assist with the implementation of policy and strategy for WG&S information technology systems to ensure that staff and computer systems comply with legislative and organisational requirements
• Provide project support, SME input and operational support across all Datacentre systems
• Configure, monitor and maintain systems within predefined targets set with the business
• Work collaboratively with 3rd party support services on diagnosing and troubleshooting issues related to the WG&S operating environments
• Maintain an awareness of  industry technological developments and identify opportunities to implement new or improved enterprise solutions to provide a more efficient and effective service to the business
